Let’s just settle on calling it gif here on Lemmy and leave it at that
Wonder if other animated image types work too.
.gif files basically aren’t used anywhere anymore, gif has just become a term for short videos without sound.
For example imgur coverts all gifs and similar to .mp4 files since it’s a much more efficient format.
Video formats like mp4 work I believe.
