Und für alle, die jetzt nostalgisch werden wollen: es gab nichts Ätzenderes, als in einer Schlange vor der Scheiß Telefonzelle zu warten. Oder ewig nach so einem Ding zu suchen und wenn man endlich eine gefunden hat, war sie kaputt.
When I was a student, I wasn’t really motivated and didn’t have any idea what to do with my life. But then I worked as a window cleaner during the summer holidays and that gave me a very clear idea about what I didn’t want to do with my life.
It’s just one guy who gets off on being contrarian and takes getting downvoted to oblivion every time as confirmation that he is fighting some kind of evil conspiracy.
9·2 days agoWe are all pushing the button every day. We are outsourcing or pollution to poorer countries where it poisons the population. We are buying things that have been produced under unsafe or downright dangerous conditions. Our consumption is often based on slave labour. The list goes on.

6·3 days agoIt’s aging. But it’s also general societal trends. Alcohol consumption has been going down across the board everywhere for decades now.
Linux has always been more pragmatic and focused on getting stuff out that works now. BSD has always been a promise that might be better in theory but is of little practical use to most people.
181·3 days agoWhile I completely agree that LinkedIn is shit, people need jobs and LinkedIn is often the only way to become visible to employers or recruiters.
If Ole’ Poopypants croaks, they might have to give more medical care to poor people, which is why they’ll keep him alive at all costs.
