That was the reason I brought up that the Chagos Islands has not been transferred to Mauritius yet (with the earliest date for it being August 1st). So the sun still hasn’t set on them. (Fortunately though the Brits didn’t get to summon the soul eater that night.)

But when though? This says it would be a few millenia until it happens (not the best source, I know), and the British government still has yet to ratify the Chagos Islands deal that happend in May as of today.
Use the flag of Scotland and watch the absolute madness in the online threads over everything.
I feel like this would be a good alternative:

Heath bar pops up on everyone’s vision while the geese slowly emerge from the ground in their idle positions before running everywhere at near-light speed.
They’re just thinking about the most rug pulling plan that will eventually be news-worthy level catastrophic if they pull it off successfully.
(They will always be waiting for everything to line up just perfectly to perform said plan, and will never end up doing it.)
Actually according to this graph I just found, you’re wrong and will never be right once. /s
No, that would just make them stronger.
Move human civilization to a different solar system and then explode the sun, it’ll all be worth it once those things are gone.
Lemmisaur@lemmy.zipto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do Americanized names of places etc exist?9·4 months agoFor your point about changing their names, we can’t change country names solely in English because there’s not an organization for it.
We only changed the name of Turkey to Türkiye because it requested to be named as such in the United Nations.
It seems like the nations themselves would have to request their names to be changed in all foreign languages for English to adopt it.
The parents just brought the realistic star package, the producers removed the proto-star phase due to people throwing them away thinking it didn’t work.
I know this is annoying for you right now, but take a break from the internet for a bit and come back to this thread when you’re calmer.

Lemmisaur@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there anything people on the internet won't claim they are an expert in?2·4 months agoNo it doesn’t, I study this subject for a living and have a degree in expertise-analysis and all of the results I’ve gotten in the past few decades show that there isn’t. Stop lying when you don’t know what you’re even saying. /s
Apparently Korea has a perfectly accurate map on their flag! /j
