  • I know what the conspiracy is, and I’m bringing up the right specifically (and I made sure to preface that I was doing that and that this conspiracy extends beyond them but I guess you missed it) because the far right currently controls the government and a lot of the right wing political grift hinges on things like “Trump is going to release the truth about Epstein and all the people who were part of his network.”

When Biden was president and the democrats controlled the senate, the right screeched for years that Biden and his administration were protecting the pedophiles. Now they have control, and nothing has changed. They can’t explain it without attacking Trump. Which they’ll never do directly because 1) he’s critical to their income and 2) look how well that’s gone for Musk

  • Honestly occam’s razor says that there is likely no amazing smoking gun detailing all these people and all the terrible things they did like the right (and beyond but hear me out) has been claiming without evidence for years, but rather there are probably just some travel logs that hint or imply if you squint hard enough and aren’t really that interesting or damning on their own. So now the conspiracy theorists control the White House and with it the flow of information, they have the opportunity to release the information they swear exists, and yet the conspiracy doesn’t work anymore because they can’t claim “the powers that be” are protecting anyone without attacking Trump now.

  • Ha you know your stuff. That being said, radio pinpointing takes time and I am actually very good at flying through small gaps - I was an early drone op, hence the phantom II I keep around!

You keep it stripped down in a backpack so it’s easy to move without worrying about security cam footage and you launch from tall buildings. If you’re smart you get a colleague to bring it in days prior and stash it. Biggest risk is someone catching you in the act of launching, which admittedly is very difficult to avoid 100% of the time. Not that I’d know, to be clear. It’s not like I’d fly drones near the capitol during major protests, that’d be really risky and illegal. Don’t do that ever.

  • I assume people mean 3440x1440 when they say 1440 as it’s way more common than 2560x1440.

Most people do not use WS as evidenced by the mixed bag support it gets. 1440 monitors are by default understood to be 2560x1440p as it’s 16:9 which is still considered the “default” by the vast majority of businesses and people alike. You may operate as if most people using 1440+ are on WS but that’s a very atypical assumption.

Raytracing sure but otherwise the 4090 is actually better than the 5070 in many respects. So you’re paying a comparable price for Raytracing and windows dependency, which if that is important to you then go right ahead. Ultimately though my point is that there is no point in buying the insanely overpriced Nvidia offerings when you have excellent AMD offerings for a fraction of the price that don’t have all sorts of little pitfalls/compromises. The Nvidia headaches are worth it for performance, which unless you 3-4x your investment you’re not getting more of. So the 5070 is moot.

I’m not sure what you’re comparing at the end unless you meant a 9070XT which I don’t use/have and wasn’t comparing.
