With glow in the dark surprise
Ran across this pattern online and had to make it.
Zork. Wow. I remember that my friend’s dad actually mapped out the entire thing by hand on grid paper.
I suspect that’s the smart way to do it. Would make a pretty cool map.
It can take a few tries. Sometimes you’ll exit a room to the east, but have to go north to get back. That’s not usually immediately obvious, and can mess up your maps.
Source: just played through Trinity for the first time since I was a kid.
Yeah. My maps were a mess, but they got me where I needed to go.
My cousin and I tried making a map of the maze by dropping items in each room. We got some parts mapped out reliably, but it was still a long process that ended up with a few questionable paths
There’s a blast from the past. It’s been a long time since I thought about Zork.
What a throwback! Super clever with the glow-in-the-dark message.
“Return to Zork” was one of the very first CD-Rom games I ever played. It’s not a great game exactly but it’s very near and dear to my heart.
Exact same thing here. I was stuck for years because no internet and I didn’t figure out I needed to ask Boos for his keys. Then a friend got a hint book which unblocked me. I still loved the game even back when I was stuck lol. The atmosphere, the music (man, the music!), the weirdness. Love that game.
I had to make a 10 min dramatic movie for my high school Spanish class and my friend and I used the Return to Zork soundtrack for it while we edited on two VHS tape players. Banger after banger!
My…my…my keys? I guess I am too drive to be drunk…
And they’re aaaaaaaall dead. Burp
Link to the pattern?
Thanks!
The Zork anthology is on Steam. FYI.
And on sale atm.
I need a new battery. Can you here me?! A new battery!!
Am I the only one in these text based adventures like Zork, King Arthur and Alice in Wonderland who did KILL SELF to see what happened?
