Or just make another one that’s more honest and sincere…

Community:

• asklemmy

• supportlemmy

All I did was ask a question, and they removed it. Because a moderator said (on this particular board), they want support, rather than questions.

Why “ask”?

Be more honest. And more open and freedom oriented, to let people say whatever they want to say.

And if they put it on the wrong board, just change the post to a different one, and let the OP know, that this is the right board. So that they know what to do in the future. To make it easier on the poster.

I’m looking forward to you guys removing this one too (“not playing by the rules”, even though it’s right there in the title). And this is another question. Ask. It’s about asking. You see the question mark at the end of the title? That’s it right there. I am asking.

Brain injured person here, it’s difficult for me to type clearly. I hope you have your empathy. Be well. Peace. ✌️

It’s a community similar/analogous to AskReddit, and support questions aren’t accepted there as well.

It is explicitly not a community for lemmy support. That’s highlighted in rule 3, and that was the removal reason attached to the removal. You can see it in the modlog here https://lemmy.ml/modlog/8?page=1&userId=3940835

@OriginalThinker@lemmy.ml, I’m responding to your DM here.

We don’t move posts to the correct community because Lemmy doesn’t have that option - and I’d rather you got to choose where your content lands.

As for why we don’t reach out and tell people - this is a volunteer job on a big community. We rely on the mod log and allow this kind of meta post to stay up for transparency and discussion. Otherwise, we focus on following the rules laid out so that this community can stay within its intended scope. This is a community for open questions and discussion - not support.

I’m sorry you don’t feel welcomed - that’s tough. However, communities come with their own rules and mods will make sure they’re enforced. I’d recommend checking those rules carefully before posting in the future as that will help the reception of your post.

Oh, and my post was supportive. Because giving a post, looking for ways to allow me to continue posting, is support.

It depends on how someone takes something, that’s always the case.
