In the last day or two, I noticed that comments don’t appear to be syncing very nicely in these two instances. There’s a similar post about it here, on lemmy.world
Example, same post under different instances:
-
https://feddit.de/post/953659 - 6 comments
-
https://lemmy.world/post/333334 - 8 comments
Other example:
-
https://feddit.de/post/978928 - 3 comments
-
https://lemmy.world/post/377126 - 8 comments
Thanks for the help
The thread on lemmy.world you linked mentions this Github Issue. Could this be related?

On the contrary, lemmy.world feels snappier and holds all the comments. Additionally, you can see that the first example is from 10 AM yesterday. Overload is not the answer.

After further investigation it appears you were correct. Link here: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3230
It’s not just comments; I can’t join the guitarpedals-community on lemmy.world, as it is not found here on feddit.
Off topic, but are you European? We could start our own community here, similar to the PEDALBOARD FB Group.
I could finally join guitarpedals on lemmy.world (today). I guess there’s no damage in starting a community here, but I myself will refrain from starting a community (at least for now).
Ah alright, if it works for now that’s good. I won’t start one if the Lemmy.world one gains traction. One negative aspect of Federation is that there are bound to be multiple communities for the same topic, but some on popular instances end up dead while a small instance might have a thriving community. I’m working on growing !bassment@feddit.de, a Community for Bass players because all other communities seem dead currently. We are slowly growing because I keep posting stuff and the more we are, the more it will gain traction.
Ah thanks for reminding me that bassment exists, I own a bass :)
You‘re welcome! :-)
