I think the difference is that in Formula 1 there is also team based skill and personal driver skill at work.
Oh! Don’t get me wrong. I wasn’t saying that watching F1 was like watchig the Kardashians; I was saying watching the F1 news posts was like reality TV: a new drama every day. And all the drivers are (or seem to be) supermodels.
From what I’ve seen, F1 races themselves are like the antithesis of golf, and filled with razor-sharp, skilled folks constantly risking their lives - and that’s just the pit crews! It’s just not my bag.
