Prior to the war Ukraine was the world’s 4th largest military arms exporter. They just stopped exporting and turned all their R&D on defending themselves instead.
I was kinda gobsmacked when they casually airlifted in Bushmasters from Australia. Figures that Ukraine has more strategic airlift capacity than the EU, our stuff is all tactical while Ukraine has seven An-124s casually taking on contracts.

I’m surprised it was this high. I would have guessed USA, France, China, maybe South Korea or India, but never Ukraine in 4th place.
Do Americans not produce their own missiles? I thought it would be the one thing they didn’t outsource…
They are mostly made by our defense contractors - Raytheon, Halliburton, lockeed Martin, etc.
