The first and second one just seem wrong somehow. Voting is definitely supposed to be anonymous. Why would (aside from stupidity) would that sheriff recently make the statement about noting who has democrat signs in their yards if they could just find out everyone who voted democrat?

It was mostly for intimidation. And I don’t think that Sheriff in particular has easy access to these records. Sounds like you need to form a PAC, find the data brokers, and then buy it off them.
Much cheaper to just intimidate the local population with thug tactics.

Whether we voted is not anonymous, but how we voted is anonymous. It’s just that our political leanings are pretty transparent in our personal data.
