Trump is no stranger to surreal moments, yet this was one of the oddest of his political career.

Fizzle bust. Vance has a fraction of the charisma and no cult of personality. As for martyrs…

Hard to say. When he finally dies or is just off the Republican ticket one way or another, we’ll find out how much of the Republican voting base is attached to Trump, not the GOP.
