      Nope, this hurts tons of people in the alcohol industry. Im working class and this will kill my job at a wine importer.

      Wine hasn’t been a rich person’s thing for a while now.

        It’s probably going to hurt everybody. I’m guessing margins on wine are greater than margins on regular groceries. Fewer purchases of wine could mean higher prices on staples to make up the difference.

          Not on the importing end they aren’t. Groceries can have massive markups but thats usually shelf stable stuff to offset produce’s losses/shrinkage.

            I’m in the automotive industry. One supplier in Mexico is our largest and you cannot get it made in the US due to EPA. My company is performance auto accessories so it’s a want not a need. And a dying industry. I feel your pain.
