I think the same of all religions, Islam is as bad as it gets though.
What inspired your discrimination?
The open misogyny and discrimination against women
I believe that you must judge religion for it’s content and after that its possible use. Otherwise, you will simply delve into unfair
discriminationdistinction. As someone who “doesn’t adhere to the bible but still identifies as a Christian”, arguably is not a Christian. The Quran is very vocal about the fact that women are most valued for her body, while the bible doesn’t really value women even for their body. The Quran says that women are almost equal to men, but that men are a degree above them. Which is way, way, way more generous than what the bible gives them. The bible says that women must treat men like gods, and that they basically have no rights at all. Women may not teach at all, and have no authority over men.
Both treat menstruation like a disease and are really vile against it. The bible even describes how gods favorite insult is menstruous woman… “You must stay away from women who menstruate”, is something both the Quran and Bible say. The Quran also says women are some reward, which is truly disgusting. Both the Bible and Quran are pretty lenient in women in slavery, although these things get pretty complicated for me personally. On the topic of men owning women, both the Bible and the Quran say pretty much the same. Although in Christianity, the original belief was to just avoid women and sex, since there wasn’t enough time. Jesus was coming so soon that the people living then didn’t have enough time to even have sex… it’s insane that people even can be Christians, because the religion very openly prophesized the end to be before 200 AC, it should’ve been in a lifetime. But alas, I guess no Christian has actually read the whole bible. Matthew 23:36 is one of the many instances where the bible said that the generation that was around for the bible would see the events of the end of the world… Sorry for going off-topic. I have an interest in religion.
The short version of my whole lineup, if you stop comparing religions, then they all are guilty of misogyny and discrimination against women. Quran and the Bible both contain a good amount of misogyny. From my point of view, the bible condones the murder of women more, while the Quran seems to condone rape more (they both condone these to a degree). If you went into studies of actual behavior partaken in by people who identify as either Muslim or Christian, this would be more complex.
I just dislike giving Christianity a pass as if it is anywhere close to being better. I am not going to argue towards making Christianity seem worse, which someone could easily do in a lot of ways. My intention is just to say that both religions do hold these views in their fundaments. Aside from this all, I would say that judging either Muslims or Christians by them being so is wrong. This also goes for many other religions too, of course, I am just trying to make it easier to talk about this as some religions are fundamentally bad to be a part of. Many Christians can be good and bad people, many Muslims can be good and bad people.
I hope that this response has fallen well, and it has helped to inform. There is not one that can be credited to be as bad as it gets, as it is really hard to accurately make an estimate of which is the actual worse one. It just creates a distinction which can be used to harm a demographic, sometimes even a bigger one than the original intention (if you dislike Muslims, then this might extend to anyone that appears Arabic to you).
