And here’s a bit of a hint for the slow people out there - they don’t need that many agents or that big of a budget if they’re only dealing with immigrants.

Just sitting here quietly wondering what it would take to deport everyone who admitted to being a homosexual, black, Latino, or drug addict on a medical form…cause I assume that’s why DOGE wanted so much of our private information - to use it against us.

At this point, all it would take would be to successfully establish the precedent that legal citizens can have their citizenship revoked (which just requires a case getting to the Supreme Court, where the corrupt majority has already demonstrated that they’re going to just rubber-stamp whatever Trump wants), then to issue an executive order declaring that [whatever quality] is [whatever has been deemed to be acceptable grounds to have ones citizenship revoked]. It would undoubtedly be challenged, but again, it would wind up in front of the Supreme Court sooner or later, and they’d rubber-stamp it

Yes, though with a feudal system mixed in.

Corporations and wealthy individuals will be the sole property-owners and will play the roles of feudal lords, and the people will be serfs, allowed to live on the lords’ estates only if they serve the lords.

Since homelessness will be criminalized while all property will be owned by the feudal lords, those who won’t serve the lords “willingly” will be imprisoned, and yes, they will then be slaves.

One of the various conservative thoughts is to make large swathes of US territory governed by corporations and billionaires. Basically, non-state zones subject to rules set by non-state systems.

Surprise! They’re trying to make feudal / monarchy systems. Welcome to bring peasants again, fellow peasants.

The underlying foundation of conservative thoughts was, and is, to uphold a hierarchy that supports a monarchy. It has been from day 1. The American Revolution was a war against conservatism.

I think one of the most concise ways to conceptualize the current conservative project is that they looked at the French Revolution and the collapse of the Ancien Regime and drew the wrong conclusions.

Rather than seeing it as the inevitable result of the systemstic oppression of the majority for the obscene privilege of a select few, they see it as a failure of the select few to sufficiently protect their privilege. And their goal is to recreate the conditions of the Ancien Regime, but this time around to prevent the peasants from successfully rebelling.

It’ll be different depending on the skin color. The darker the skin, the shorter the road to slavery and skipping the feudal system.

    It absolutely eclipses the Gestapo.

The Heritage Foundation quite literally took the Nazi Germany history and said “we can do it better.”

With 32,000 members, the Gestapo and adjacent effects was able to kill 21m people.

    The Foundation wants 258,000,000 dead.

That $170b is going to that.

Money to fund gestapo US Border Patrol and ICE-IS but not enough for health care for our elderly, education for our youth, or nutrition and housing assistance for our vets.

This government is morally bankrupt. Error Code: 404

Largest and most expensive are two different things, most expensive could lead to largest, but I guarantee you the plan for spending that money is the size and shape of a napkin and includes a big funnel to the military and prison industrial complexs and with a sketch of some stick figures in suits throwing piles of cash at each other while laughing.

the single largest federal law enforcement agency in the history of the nation

Are all those qualifiers even needed?

Are there any state or local agencies larger than the federal government’s? Are there any other countries with larger agencies? (China or India, maybe?)

Or can we just call it “the largest law enforcement agency in (western) history”?

I’ll never vote blue no matter who ever again. We are living the ongoing consequences of Biden’s ongoing genocide, and y’all are way too willing to shift all the blame to Trump and GOP.

I’m certain 1 or 2 Democrats would have broken with party line to ensure it passes, we don’t have 50 moral Democrats that can’t be bought. They didn’t need to break the illusion of being the opposition party this time.

Remember that it was under Biden that reporters were dragged out by force for asking questions about Gaza.

I am not saying Democrats are good (or not corrupted)… but blaming democrats for what Republicans are doing is apologetic to republicans

“They would have done x if they were the majority “ is just your speculation. The reality is that the US voted this… and it’s getting this

What did I blame the Democrats for what the Republicans are doing?

Are you denying that Biden enthusiastically and fully backed the genocide?

If so, I see no point in arguing with you anymore, you’re clearly still in the American politics cult. Democrats are not your friends, they just give you the illusion of someone fighting on your behalf. They are complicit in every major shift the country took to the right.
