Yeah, Hulk Hogan is a great “never meet your heroes” test case. The dude was a huge part of many kids’ formative years, but was actually a massive piece of shit if anyone ever bothered to dig. But before the internet was widespread, digging wasn’t even really possible; all you had to go off of was the public persona that they presented, and whatever you were able to dig up via library research.

Yeah, unless you were subscribing to the Wrestling Observer or something, you wouldn’t know what kind of a POS Hogan was IRL back in the day. When I first got online and discovered the nascent internet wrestling community back in the day, it was like the scales falling from my eyes.

You can be sad about the character. Remember Hulk died along time ago when you stopped watching and forgot all about wrestling.

Now you’re seeing what you once knew and sad that it’s officially gone. It’s OK to be sad about that memory and character perishing.

It’s also OK to say good riddance to a piece of shit human that was this fuck.

he was shit-head since the gawker incident, and then wwe erased him from the annuls of wwe history him for like a few years, because of his racist incident. they shouldve kept him erased. thats probably the best gift wwe has down, lol. considering he also helped VINCE union bust too.
