JB Pritzker, BORN a billionaire, might take offense at the message that society doesn’t need billionaires. This doesn’t make him a bad guy. He’s objectively a good governor and from what I’ve heard him say publicly, a pretty wise person. It’s literally not his fault he’s a billionaire, but what he might not understand is that we must change the fabric of our society in such a way that vast wealth does NOT accumulate in a small number of private hands, and if it does, that it doesn’t get passed down to their next generation
I mean, you can choose not to use the generational wealth, or inheret the company… by taking the money, he’s signaling that he doesn’t care about anybody else but himself. The only caveat to that would be if he took ownership of the hotels and then took the money from it and put it toward ending homelessness, or some other issue in society. But, im guessing he didnt, bcz I would have heard about that.
