I made an account on here before this instance defederated from lemmysnfw. I asked the admin there to remove my account from the lemmynsfw database. Each time he does so, loading my user page again recreates my user on the database.
I’d really like for the page to be removed. My original account contains my first name and I do not want it appearing on Google next to lemmynsfw. It seems that even with defederation, instances can pull users from one another.
The problem arises where I want my user page to return a 404 not found, but each time it’s removed from the DB, it gets readded for some reason. If it doesn’t return a 404 then Google doesn’t remove the result :(
lemmy.ml is hosted in EU, and lemmynsfw.com uses CloudFlare, which operates in EU. Worst case, issue a GDPR request to both.
The lemmynsfw admin has been very helpful. Problem is whenever he purges me, the user comes back because it queries lemmy.ml. It’s surprising because the latter defederated the former.
