Because people cared to map it!
Land use is undermapped and underrated but for anyone that hikes, hunts, camps or does search and rescue it can be a literal life saver
I haven’t looked into it to compare, but the nature of OSM means that most likely either:
- someone local(ish) who is very dedicated to mapping it out has done so
- an imported state level dataset provided a high level of map coverage
