We can care about more then one thing.
Distraction, distraction…. What’s your action!?
The data doesn’t really start to vary until about 2014, with 2015 being the first major outlier.
Hmm, what happened right about then in the world.

I have an interesting conspiracy theory…
In 2006~2007 Wallstreet knew the crash was coming, so they put all their money on Obama (Wallstreet heavily financed his campaign). Getting a black man elected right at the moment of the crash would allow them effectively direct rage and anger to racism and at the same time disarm the liberals and the left by having them concentrate their efforts towards anti racism instead.
I don’t care what race someone is, I am sure they hate the rich as much as the rest of us.
at least that’s how it should be
Nah this ain’t it. Gross meme tbh.
People becoming more aware of systemic racism does not take away from people also becoming more aware of the abuses of capitalism.
The more likely scenario is that Occupy Wall Street wasn’t going to help anything, so attention shifted to a different problem.
You can’t have a racially just society that’s also capitalist.

I remember this time and it really felt like something is going to change. But then it jidt faded away and everything was forgotten somehow.
How I imagine the space race for that generation.
thus the modern libs were born. (while still being racist as fuck somehow lol)
Because libs care more about their social image than about actual systemic change
