I’ve seen statements going out from larger Indigenous social media groups urging caution - wouldn’t doubt though that the Mohawk or Blackfoot are going to cross regardless, because their families are across that border or for cultural reasons.
Because these communities existed before the border, which was imposed on them by colonizers.
Sure, but if you know there’s a high likelihood of problems going somewhere, it’s a smart idea to avoid it.
