Mass starvation, ecological collapse, and probably dying of cancer due to the radioactive dust that’d probably be spread about. I’d list nuclear winter but summer is starting up where I am so that just sounds damned pleasant.

Not all of us were spared from that, just because there is no nuclear war.

Bring it on, the situation can only improve!

Honestly depending on how the bombs fall and what variety therein it’s entirely possible we could actually see an overall improvement to the environment at the very least. Chernobyl and Pripyat actually work as a decent pseudo nature reserve since while humans don’t like the contamination nature and animals really don’t give a damn.

As we all know wild animals have a lead lining and are completely immune to radiation and its effects.

News flash, even if some plants and fungi might be able to thrive, animals get as fucked up by radiation as we do

I was moreso saying that environmental conditions that humans avoid will be happily populated by animals. It’ll still fuck them up but they’d still populate an area that is unacceptable for humans.

We can only aspire to the majesty of the tumorous six legged albino deer of Chernobyl, before being cooked by a starving Russian conscript.
