100% vote blue no matter who. But pig fucking zionazi warmongering DNC will still screw you over, and 100% vote in primaries, and organize for a Green, or new, party that doesn’t just show up when GOP pays them to split votes from DNC.
Careful with that “blue no matter who”. Progressive issues are important. But like everything else, it can go too far. Thinking otherwise is a dangerous philosophy to have.
In November every 2 years, vote democrat if there is no other alternative. Be active in primaries (that select dem candidates), and volunteer for progressives from any party, but if they’re not going to win in November, don’t vote for them (unless Dem wins anyway), but go back to supporting them the next day.
I get that. Voting Democrat is useful as an emergency rule when the alternative is clearly worse. I’m just saying that blind loyalty can backfire. I do not agree with “no matter who.” That phrase rots the spine. Once a party knows your vote is automatic, it has less reason to earn it. That is how standards get buried under tribal loyalty and panic. Strategy is good. Obedience is not.
Now that a based civic take I can stand with. One of the main reasons I see myself as a Democrat and not a Leftie is seeing the sheer purity testing where the left completely screws themselves out of any and all political capital. To be honest, it seems to me most lefties just want to endless critique power while fantasizing about smashing the walmart they’re shopping at rather than change anything.
I get that, but the funny part is your first response to me saying “the left is really gatekeepy.” Was to immediate gate-keep a group of people out of your camp because they failed some purity test.

God I wish we had ranked choice voting so much.

Say that, next time.

Not my left.
… Handy phrase to have when encountering “the left is” types of blanket statements to create an icon of hate to steer people’s minds by.

Projecting?
That’s your interpretation.
Not mine.
