My favourite thing to do with Al is to have the kids create their main characters, some outline of a plot and have Al write the bedtime story.

Frank Carlson interesting idea. I’ll have to check that out. Which model do you like best for that?

I’ve been doing it for about a year now on ChatGPT. I reply to the same thread and stories are getting much better based on our feedback. The kids love giving the machine feedback on it’s writing, lol! Have fun!
In my day you listened to your grandpa retell Song of the South and asked him wtf a tar baby was after.
feedback on it’s writing, lol!
Yeah, maybe if you read actual books to your kids, you wouldn’t have made that mistake.
“Relationship Builder”
Outsources interacting with thier own children.

Well he uses linkedin. So “relationship builder” probably means spam peddler.
When I wanted to outsource my imagination when telling my little brother bedtime stories, I just told half remembered Greek myths ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I genuinely think that’s awesome! Telling kids made up or half remember stories is really wholesome.
I love starting somewhere and then let me surprise myself where it goes. Most stories just fizzle out without an end because my nieces just fall asleep.
Hardcore eyeroll.
WHY are people so fascinated with it. No wonder there’s a correlation between dumb people and llm slop obsession.
The kids love giving the machine feedback on it’s writing, lol!
Oh the irony.
ew, that’s fucking bleak
Trillion dollar valuation right here.
Outsourcing my imagination never felt so successful!
I mean, we all do that when we read books or watch movies.
Reading a book or watching a movie requires engaging your brain in some way. This guy isn’t engaging his brain in any way whatsoever. He’s completely offloaded this onto the AI.
However, this is still better than just plopping your kids in front of the TV, because at least they have to use their imagination in some way.
I agree tbh. How is having a story created, and then reading it different from just reading a book? The weird part is telling people about it on LinkedIn.
If the argument is that the parent always used to make up stories for the kids, and then that was replaced with AI, then sure, take away their parent of the year award.
Because booking are made with the intent to impart some meaning or lesson onto the children?
