Now just have to get germany to start manufacturing silicon. Its fucking wild to me that europeans speedran the tech tree for 3000 years and then just decided to stop and export everything to other countries. We have the literal only company on planet earth that can make the machines required for manufacturing modern chips but dont have a single fab? In design capabilites we are also lacking so this is a big step. It would be amazing to see even some simpler stuff like nordic fabbing in germany because then the chips would be completely european.
At least we’ve got Infineon in Europe, but they’re only doing small stuff …
Currently being manufactured at TSMC, the world’s leading advanced semiconductor factory, Rhea1 will be available for sampling in a few weeks.
So in a few weeks we’ll get to sample a die of Rhea1?
