Obviously well-motivated in this case, but it’s still intolerable for any company to restrict what software you can install. If removal from one store means total censorship, that store’s petit monopoly needs to be shattered.
It’s not their platform. It’s your phone. That’s what the money is for.

And now Android is inching toward the same abusive restrictions, because we didn’t chop Apple in half the moment they pulled that shit. It is genuinely one of the worst events in the history of computer and I am counting the death of Turing.
Motorola is coming out with a GrapheneOS phone and I can’t wait.
