The passengers of Prigozhin’s plane are two of his closest associates and veterans of the Syrian Wagner campaign

The Federal Air Transport Agency has published a list of passengers who were allegedly on board the crashed plane of Yevgeny Prigozhin . We found out who they were.

✈️ Valery Chekalov is one of the Concorde managers closest to Prigogine. He oversaw all of Prigozhin’s “civilian” projects abroad and was responsible for the logistical support of the Wagner group. It was Chekalov who headed JSC Neva, the founder of Euro Polis LLC, to which all Syrian and African projects were tied

✈️ Dmitry Utkin . Prigozhin’s right hand in the Wagner PMC. Responsible for command and combat training.

✈️ Yevgeny Makaryan , call sign “Makar”. Former precinct. He joined Wagner in March 2016 . He was part of the fourth Wagner assault detachment in Syria, which came under fire from American aircraft near Khsham in January 2017.

✈️ Sergey Propustin , call sign “Kedr”, ensign. He joined Wagner in March 2015. He fought in the second reconnaissance and assault detachment. Prigozhin recruited many personal guards from there.

✈️ Alexander Totmin , callsign “Tot”.

✈️ Nikolai Matuseev . We could not find a person with that name on the Wagner lists. But there is Nikolai Matusevich . At Wagner since January 2017. He served as a shooter in the fourth assault detachment in Syria.

Meanwhile, Prigozhin’s wife Lyubov continues her long-planned vacation in India , says a Dossier source familiar with the family.

We do not know whether the information about the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin and Dmitry Utkin can be trusted. But if it is confirmed, it will mean that fewer and fewer people remain alive who are familiar with the circumstances of the murder of Russian journalists in the Central African Republic in 2019. We appeal to the employees of Prigozhin’s “Company”: if you know any details of the crime in the Central African Republic, contact the “Dossier” Center and tell your story. We will not be in debt.

Sure, we’ve had one mutiny, but… What about second mutiny?

I don’t think he knows about second mutiny, Pip.

Would’ve been so easy for Putin to assassinate him but of course they take the route involving murdering a bunch of random civilians alongside him and potentially endangering more on the ground

There’s a difference between a Mafia boss and his limo driver. Maybe they aren’t scott free but they aren’t the ones murdering people.

5 of the people listed including Prigozhin were literally responsible for helping in killing, with one of them being his right hand man.

Allegedly, of course. The pilots were maybe the limo driver, but the whole mafia was sitting in back.

The whole Mafia could literally be arrested/assassinated at any time. Putin has thousands of thugs that he could devote to taking out every last Wagner leader if he wanted to. Or just flat out arrest them for bullshit charges and kill them in jail etc. This wasn’t some once in a lifetime opportunity.

Instead we have 3 crew members of a commercial airplane, who could’ve been any “random civilians”, and potentially another family or 2 if that plane crashed into a house/market/etc.

I’m not expressing surprise that “of course” Putin takes this callous and expedient approach, because that’s who he is. It’s just an observation of a sad reality.

You have to remember that Putin is trying to play the media fiddle.

He could probably get away with assassination of his biggest threats, but that wouldn’t be media friendly.

Everyone assumes Putin shot the plane down, but there is no conclusive evidence, so he is still not the bad guy.

The plane he was on was a civilian travel plane, but it is also not a public airliner. The people on board were all very likely aware of the dangers of being transported with the Russian leader’s most recent mutiny subject on board.

To assume they just boarded a plane randomly is a big stretch. That’s like saying you hopped on Taylor Swifts airplane and didn’t realize she was on it.

Putin is way more willing to put the lives of his own people at risk to portray a certain picture to the global media. Which yes, I agree is a sad reality.

considering that putin killed a few thousands of russians (civilian and military) just to get presidency (in apartment bombings and then in second chechen war), this is practically as humanitarian as it gets for their standards

Yes, he’s a callous and uncaring person. I meant it literally when I said “of course” this is how he would go about it. It was just an observation, not a statement of surprise.

A bomb is much, much more efficient than a missile. I’d be very surprised if a missile was used. Also, it would be unlikely for both him and Utzin to be on the same plane, for exactly this reason.

It’s going to be hard to unpack all these rumors for a few days unless we see a living Utzin or Prigozhin soon. A strong possible narrative here would be Utzin selling out his boss in exchange for amnesty, in which case it behooves him to disappear.

Edit: notice we don’t see a missile exhaust trail to the aircraft and a burst pattern for one in the start of the video. With the war on, there are plenty of videos showing a missile strike on an aircraft to compare to.

The smoke trail on the left at the start of the video was reported to be from the missile. There are a few photos that claim to show damage from an S-300 missile. However, I’ve heard rumors about a box of wine that was gifted to them before takeoff, and another about unusual plane maintenance.

I’ve updated the title to reflect the current level of uncertainty.

The “second angle” linked is of a different aircraft. The first video may be a Legacy 600 but the second looks like a twin turboprop of some kind- Saab 2000 or similar.

I already read a report that there were 2 planes, of which the 2nd returned after the incident… I’m curious if he was on the 1st (shot down) plane or the 2nd.

When he was in the 2nd and survived things could ‘get interesting’ in Russia.

May Putin live in interesting times.

Whoa. Now that Wagners #1 got dusted, I guess all his little green men shut their shoulders and go back to plowing potatoes, right? Yah, right. Now that the demon lord is dead, all his minions have be given free reign to do to Putin what he did to their boss. Stay tuned…

To be quite honest, this was the Riddler taking out Darkseid. And while Edward has the $$$ and the genius behind him, he may have failed to take to account those in D’seids thrall who may now be gunnin’ for HIS scrawny ass for shits and giggles. Wagner is known for one thing, settling scores. And unless Mad Vlad has already settled the scales with coin for all those unemployed mercs , all those loyal to Prez are gonna be pissed… Hey ,you dust my boss, maybe we dust you. Fair is fair.

Alas no. Pooty’s got enough brains to know friends and foes alike are gunnin’ for him. He’s VERY careful when disclosing his intentions and whereabouts. If you want to do him, someone from the inside has got to give him up… ( cue up Attack on Titan final season opening theme: My War)
