We need EU tech and infrastructure. Even if their devices are cheaper or better. They will make use of a europe beeing dependent on china/USA. The same way russia already did this with their gas and oil. Luckily EU was able to deal with that. But China and USA have way more leverage.

Trump wants to help the people in iran as much as he want to help the people in venezuele. He wont. He just has interests e.g. their natural resources. And the revolution is a way for him to get these ressources. Trump will never do something which does not make him richer or more powerful

Russia is already attacking EU/NATO with their hybrid war. Russia is pushing all these far right movements in europe and usa. They also attacked critical infrastrucure e.g. the internet cables and send their drones into europe. Also Russia send killers into europe to kill certain individuals e.g. in Berlin the “Tiergarten killer”. Russia needs to feel that it can no longer do this without consequence. Europe needs to walk the talk.
