In 2008 the election was between Obama and McCain but the rumblings of the symptoms of far right conservatism was boiling up. Tea party and Sarah Palin, remember the clip of McCain having to tell an older voter that Obama wasn’t a secret Kenyan citizen, that is a trump voter right there. It’s just at the time the Republican Party had more of a back bone and was willing to entertain the middle and not play into peoples worst ideas, that has since disappeared.

The 2020 election was also before citizens united decision . Every election after has been inundated by messaging from private corporations that have their own agenda and want to sway an uneducated populace to vote in their interests. Look at how much money Elon was willing to burn because he thinks that it will benefit him.

Ok now for 2020 election. Honestly, if there was no pandemic or if Trump had been more responsive to the pandemic I think he would have been reelected. But he fucked up the pandemic response so bad that people were and did get hurt by his incompetence. So people voted him out so that we could actually get the situation under control. That is why Biden won in 2016, things were so bad trump could have lost to a brain dead turnip, democrats could have put anyone up against trump and they would have won.

This will be my closing, just like roe v wade, this is a case of the dog catching the car. Now that republicans have won now they actually have to lead. In 4 years when nothing has improved in people’s lives they will realize they were bamboozled and are not going to actually be better off.

The adults that are under educated that voted. I’m saying the dumbing down of America is coming from inside the house by slashing school budgets and how you set education standards. Schools are supposed to operate apolitically but the fact is it is a political institution with political ramifications. Keeping pay low and standards low of what is taught keeps a populace dull and compliant. Educated enough to run the machines at the factory but dumb enough not to ask for more in their lives.

I’m actually talking about the public school system not college.

Education, unfortunately those in the most need of it are out of an educational institution so they will only be fed on a diet of commercialism and disinformation.

I’ve been playing a ton of stardew valley lately. I bought it for ever ago and just thought it was meh. But figured let me try it again maybe I just didn’t get into it and I was right because holy heck I’m hooked right now having a ton of fun and loving it. It’s such a cute little game I love it.

Funnily enough in 2016 I looked into her platform after Bernie was pushed out. And honestly I agreed with just about everything she was running on, except for one thing. She was pushing anti vax stuff and it was enough for me not to vote for her. I feel that strongly about vaccines and public health concerns.

Her intentions is not to be a spoiler, she’s not, she’s filled all the legal requirements to run for office of president and is allowed to be on the ballot. She is just getting a lot of attention in this current race because the margin is razor thin between the two main line candidates and that has people nervous Kamala could lose like Hillary did in 2016.

Personally as an independent voter that feels continually ignored by the by the right and left, third parties can be an attractive choice for some. Honestly, if the left or right want to court my vote they could produce better candidates. Let me say Kamala is a great choice, my issue is how she got there. I feel if Biden had decided to not run for reelection before election campaigning started and allowed other democrats to throw their hat in the ring it would have the appearance of a properly run election cycle for democrats. As for republicans they need to drop trump and his brand of mean spirited politics and have an honest return to the middle right vs where they are now at the far right. Anyways those are my thoughts on Jill Stein, third parties and the left and right. I already did early voting so my choice is done, if you care at all about the direction this country is going or needs to go, GO FUCKING VOTE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GO VOTE!

I had that all written and had one last thought. Now I do actually think Stein could spoil NC, she is on the ballot and the person most likely to win the governor in NC also has the last name Stein. A conversation I actually had while standing in line with an aging neighbor, she has a tough time getting around and asked if I’d take her early voting when I was going absolutely not a problem. But in line looking over a sample ballot I had to explain to her that Jill Stein and Josh Stein are not related in any way. So the fact there are two Stein’s on the ballot might make it confusing for some voters. Ok enough out of me, go vote.

I do have those things and wish I could tell you that they do help. Fact is the feeling really doesn’t help or go away. The only thing that helps is not being home alone at night.

Real answer, in college the apartment I was living in was broken into by a neighbor and attacked my roommate. When I heard noise coming from his room I went to go check on him and the attacker turned on me and started to attack me. My injuries were far less severe from my roommate’s. Ever since then I can’t fall asleep unless I check all the doors to make sure they are locked even if I know it’s locked I’ll double check it before laying down for the night. At times when I’m alone in the house I can still get to sleep but it’s a restless sleep because of how uneasy I feel about being alone in a house at night. That shit sucks to never feel fully safe in your own home.

Minecraft, it’s just relaxes me every time it storms.
