Exactly!!
On my laptop I have the auto cookie denial extension on Firefox. Also use PiHole for network wide blocking

Thanks, but no thanks
But it’s not spyware. The eIDAS law proposes that governments can insert certificates that spoof the originator. A subtle difference.
I really hope Mozilla don’t comply
I’m expecting browser companies to offer EU citizens a browser with the eIDAS cert acceptance baked in but outside the EU as they are now
No, that was different. eIDAS is certificate based - those that care will just use a VPN to download a non-EU compliant browser build and only surf with the VPN on. At least that’s my plan.
Yep, same. FF has been my go to browser for years

Story has been debunked. It’s a theoretical paper that was misinterpreted by a journalist
And always 1 day old accounts posting this stuff
Depends on the landlord - some are dodgy and won’t register you because they don’t declare the income
Gotcha
Internet is somewhat restricted but only the most common sites are blocked
Renting requires ID - passport or Spanish ID, same with Internet or a SIM card
Transportation there’s no ID requirements on buses and trains
Here in Spain there’s minimal surveillance outside the big cities. My town (circa 40K residents) has no public cameras in town (I lived in the UK and they were everywhere).
I can’t because I refuse their cookies and then it’s subscription
We already have digital certificates to identify ourselves on government websites to access services.
Most likely the implementation will require sites to demand the cert for verification. What happens after that is the privacy creep
I use TekLanVPN and they accept crypto (ETH included).
Not everywhere. Here in Spain, we pay a 10€ deposit for a commuter train ticket that is valid for 4 months. Travel on route is then free.
A pre-paid bus card makes journeys that usually cost 1,70€ cost 0,45€
This is because these services are government owned, not private
Night vision camera does that
15 minute old account, posts glowing review of some illegal service in a technology sub
Not suspicious at all!!
