What a stand-up guy.
This is how I’d like to learn history
XKCD would be so perfect for textbooks!
Well… yeah. How else are you going to make piss grenades?
This panel is going to give me nightmares…
You can tell who they are, but they all look so old!
Yes, I’ve used this one before:
That’s what I love about chess. The barrier for entry is so low that anyone can play it pretty much anywhere.
You’ll find it in wealthy areas, poor areas, schools, prisons. Kids play it, their parents play it, their grandparents play it, etc.
I’ve been meaning to do the same, but time keeps getting away from me.
I want to get past the adjustment period because I feel like I’m playing half-blind.
It’s just so unique. I even found myself getting annoyed with the boss fights and plot, because it was distracting me from my deliveries.
I can’t imagine what my grandmothers would have thought if they ever watched those movies. I’m pretty sure one never fully accepted the 1960s the first time around.
I think I’ve posted about 30 so far… Lol
I’ve been slowly building up a “Spooky” folder since August so that I could drop one meme per day this month in c/spooky_memes, and now I’m depleting the remainder today.
The line it’s playing off of is “take a seat, young Skywalker”
Maybe!
But this is still fairly common shorthand for waiters.
My guess is that as the need for housing has increased (population growth, short term rentals taking up supply, etc), we haven’t been building the right kind of homes to fill the void.
Nobody is out there using land to build “starter homes”. It’s either large, expensive houses or apartment complexes, so the demand for home ownership is high, but the ones available to buy aren’t cheap.
It would be like if nobody made affordable cars, so most drivers were stuck either leasing or saving up for a Lamborghini. (Hyperbole, but you get the idea)
Just tried some reverse image searching with zero luck. If anyone can figure this out, I’d be very impressed.
