Meanwhile the billionaires convinced the voters that democrats were responsible for inflation and spun “tax increases for billionaires” into “tax increases for everyone”.

Voter turnout was a record high never before seen in 2020 because of the pandemic.

All anyone has regarding that is annecdotal. But in my experience many friends, family, coworkers who voted democrat in 2020 were convinced by republican ads that democrats were to blame for the inflation caused by Covid and price gouging.

Third, and most importantly, the goal is not for a single person to win, but to build a strong organization that will make people’s lives better, and that would over time get more people to vote, because they would understand that it matters.

I think the billionaire class countered Harris because they didn’t want to be taxed like she laid out in her plans and now people are trying to scapegoat them, ensuring it will be less likely that the next person will try it again. Donations are on the books. Things like Elon Musk buying votes are not on the books. The billionaire class did not want Harris to tax them.

Scapegoating democrats for going up against the billionaire class seems like exactly what the billionaires would want.
