Thanks for sharing that mindfuck. I honestly would’ve thought something was wrong with my cognition if you hadn’t mentioned it was a test beforehand.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Is it gay to have pleasurable sex with your wife?
9·2 days agoPlease feel free to ignore this if you’re not comfortable talking about this with strangers on the internet, but I’ve always wondered what keeps people persisting in a relationship like that. It’s easy for me to say, but I’d imagine having sex would definitely stop being appealing if it’s a one-sided affair. Not sure if I’d have the fortitude to put up with that to such an extent it’d result in three kids.
Please enlighten me if you can, I’m honestly hoping to learn what mindset or circumstances got you to this point.

I have played and beaten both games too often to count, and while they’re both excellent the way Mario controls in SMW always throws me off for the first couple of minutes. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but SMB3 just feels better, more weighty I guess.
Oooh, now there’s a fun idea for a sequel/spin off.
There are also several YT videos with trauma surgeons and ER nurses rating the injuries sustained by Marv and Harry. Even the innocuous ones would leave them permanently scarred, most would cripple them for life, and a good couple of them would be instantly lethal.
Yeah. That song even has the benefit of being in English, so you don’t need to find a translation as an English non-German speaker.

3·12 days agoWhat on earth are you talking about? It’s on the 370Z chassis, one of the most loved enthusiast platforms out there.
Anyone wrapping it around a tree has a case of driver error to blame. Having owned every generation of Z since the 300ZX, I found it to handle excellently.

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•So I'm fashionably late to Solasta. What custom campaigns did you folks enjoy?
4·12 days agoHaven’t played any of the custom campaigns, but the game is very fun in terms of it’s mechanics (I’d argue it’s superior to even BG3 in that specific regard).
I didn’t create a new party for the expansion, but that’s largely because I set up the team to have abilities that all feed off each other for some truly disgusting amounts of damage.
Let the community know which ones of the custom campaigns you liked best. I’d love a reason to jump back into the game :-)
Rammstein got so sick and tired of being called Nazis just because they make harsh music with German lyrics that they put out “Links 2 3 4” two decades ago to clear up that they lean socialist. And Till Lindemann himself has said repeatedly that they hate Nazis. And yet, people still associate them with it because they can’t think beyond “Scary German music = Nazi”.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•It is now 89 seconds to midnight. Closest it's ever been. How concerned are you about global war?
6·18 days agoI agree with the sentiment, but in going to “uhm acksually” you on the size of the nuclear stockpile. Russia still holds more nukes officially: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_states_with_nuclear_weapons
Glad they are calling out Danielle’s blatant misuse of the notwithstanding clause, and I fully support a general strike. It’s high time someone told the UCP to stop treading on Albertans’ rights and freedoms without consequence.
I think you’re on to something here honestly. Windows Phone was Microsoft’s last big new bet in the consumer market (you could argue Game Pass here, but the scope is more niche than a general compute platform), and I am sure that if it succeeded there would’ve been a significant cultural shift at Microsoft, similar to how the success (and subsequent revenue stream dominance) of iPhone/iOS did at Apple.
Sadly, we don’t live in that reality, so now everything Microsoft makes (again, with exception of the aforementioned and dreadfully mismanaged Xbox/Game Pass efforts) for consumers needs to have some kind of enterprise revenue angle to get greenlit at all. From experience I can tell you that a large number of great product ideas wither on the vine at Microsoft simply because management doesn’t consider anything that won’t move the needle on enterprise revenue.

World News@lemmy.ml•Trump confirms the CIA is conducting covert operations inside Venezuela
14·1 month agoDon’t be surprised if the answer is “both”. He’s a stupid man obsessed with the optics of looking strong and successful. Boasting about this while completely oblivious to the obvious consequences fits right in his M.O.

1·2 months agoI mean the xenophobia alone allows one to draw parallels, but here’s an example of the party harbouring the same wildly unscientific COVID vaccine stances and unscientific claims in their ranks: https://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/a/5Ey2eW/obehorig-sd-politiker-i-riksdagens-kammare
And thanks for reminding me of the existence of AfS, it truly takes something extraordinary to be too extreme for SD to the point of getting kicked out and starting your own splinter fraction.

I could not agree more. I understand the original intent, but nowadays it’s literally a “get out of fucking over your civil rights - free card”.
