  • Can you sauce this with some context? Is the Crimean bridge a propaganda/extending Russo-imperialism project for Russians, as the kerch bridge was before the funni?

No, no. Nothing of that sort.

The Chonhar bridge connects Kherson oblast to Crimea.
The problem is that this bridge one of the very few locations that Russians can use https://i.imgur.com/lluvBfW.png

The bridge that they just bombed is the one shown in red. Dark blue puts Russians well within HIMARS range, while light blue puts them just barely at the end of that 50km HIMARS range.

The other option that Russians can use to get to Crimea is through Kerch bridge.

Imho, the bombing of the Chonhar bridge should be seen as the official start of the coming Siege of Crimea.

  • I don’t blame them that much for the downvotes, a lot of people are weary or suspicious when Ukraine’s far right topic is addressed.
But not because they want to deny its existence, but because that its existence has been weaponized by Russians as a justification for their invasion, genocide, tortures, rapes and overall warcrimes.
And especially with how some western leftists (Hello Hasan) have treated the issue, or how it was used by tankies, fascists, vatniks and all sorts of such people to attack and diminish Russia’s action, it is pretty understandable their reaction.

That being said, Dylan has been on the side of Ukraine since the very beginning, one of the few genuine left-leaning western folks, and this interview is very informative. Looking forward tot he second part.

  • I’m assuming the US wants to ensure Ukrainian pilots are very well trained in the F-16 before it’s delivered.

That whole thing about Ukrainians not being capable of operating western military gear reeks to high heaven of some sort of orientalism but with an eastern-european flavor.
It’s a very, very weird thing that I’ve noticed happening for a long, long time. And I definitely seen it occur when it comes to Ukraine as well.
It’s the sort of feeling that Eastern Europeans are less-capable, not-as-good, not-as-smart, their tiny little brains can’t really handle superior western tech, it’s too complicated for them, it’s not their fault.
That’s how you get all sorts of high western figure being surprised that Ukrainians can actually learn to pilot superior western planes.
Similar thing happened years back when Bernie Sanders went

Today, people living in Bucharest, Romania have access to much faster Internet than most of the US. That’s unacceptable and must change.

Those inferior eastern euros have better internet than us muricans! AH! The audacity! How dare they.

Sorry for the rant, it wasn’t necessarily direct at you. Your comment just reminded me of that.

  • The sixth component is that both countries must ensure the export of grain and fertilisers. The leader of South Africa noted that “one of the reasons for coming here was that Africa is also experiencing the negative consequences of this war. Our grain prices have increased, we also have a shortage of fertilisers, and their prices have increased.”

Grains? What grains? The grains that were supposed to grow in the flooded areas? The grains that were supposed to grow irrigated with water from the dam?
Wait until the effects of what Russians did start to be felt in nations that depend on Ukraine for their grains supply. It’s going to be “fun”.

But meanwhile, you and your buddies ought to go back to trying to find ways to get out of the ICC just so your best friend Putin can come and visit, its gonna work out so well for South Africa. I’m convinced.

Africans don’t deserve to have some mindless, corrupt morons lead them.

  • Translated posts, first:

    Fucking Waiters
About waiters, due to the fact that the new territories are now subjects of the Russian Federation, the residents of these regions should be treated like their fellow citizens, if you want to inspect a building or a vehicle - call an investigation team, witnesses.
If you do it yourself without informing the investigating authorities and the prosecutor’s office, you’ll have problems, because they may press charges and you’ll have a lot of questions.
In fact, you can’t even lift a slate on a private property just for fun.
They fuck up at every step. They say one thing, then another in 2 minutes, in the phones are correspondence with their relatives on the other side, money is transferred, you ask: “What the fuck?”, they say that the husband pays child support.
We’re riding in a tiger, a guy sees us and runs into the house. In the phone, all the correspondence was deleted, and my brother is a colonel of the Ukrainian police on the other side.
An old woman of 70 can bullshit in your face, which, by the way, was today.
I would introduce the initiative at least so that we can pinch those who do not have a Russian passport.
There are villages that have not been searched at all, and the people there are fucking nuts. In Dagestan, by the way, the FSB and Interior Ministry special forces (at that time) searched every house in the village, every address, but here for some reason there is no such thing, at least not where we are. It should have been joined when all these territories would have been cleared of this crap.
Overall, to summarize, our hands are tied and we have to work on the edge of the legal field.

    Second:

I would like to complement my colleague with an example from my own life:
A comrade and I were driving along the Dnieper River in the Kherson region (we were delivering humanitarian aid to soldiers). The comrade (an active fighter of a special unit, took part in the Kiev direction) can speak Ukrainian very well.
And so we asked the local population in Ukrainian: "Yak spravy and where are the Russians here?
After some security, the local contingent in the color gave us the nearest TAC.
This is so, in addition to understanding the objective reality.
