This isn’t a shit post, its the truth
As someone born in Texas it is disgusting how the attorney general of the state is able to disregard civil rights and abuse his office in pursuit of his political agenda.
I waited years for the feds to stick something to him only to watch his cornies let him off the hook for all his crooked deeds in a show trial. That was the day I knew democracy and Justice were only fairytails in the “Lone Star State”.
Glad I’m leaving this shit hole finally.
Paxton falsely claimed that immigrants were being given social security numbers at the border as part of the scheme, too. There’s no evidence of that, or that noncitizens cast ballots in any significant numbers.
Maybe he’s no good at taking a hint
I believe that is a ticket for abandoned vehicle on the antenna…
Mainly brown water would be my guess, they an keep it to themselves.
I think we got lazy with our designs once centralized air was mainstreamed. The house my father grew up in the 1950s was designed like you mentioned. It would only allow light through during certain times of year/day with its overhanges and louvers and it jad more windows which allow more air flow…now according to him it was still a miserable place to live during the 1950s Texas summers…
Just keep your door shut.
I can only speak for Texas, but those stand alone “emergency rooms” are more of a scam than anything else. This year we had one refuse to assist my father (who was alone at the time) while he was having a stoke, instead the staff instructed him to get back into his car and drive to an actual hospital…while still having a stroke!
It sounds like many of the places in Texas mentioned in the article are those “emergency rooms”. We saw a hugh influx of those crappy places several years ago when they changed some rules regarding insurance. Its all a money grab.
Runner has denied breaking the law, saying in a 2023 interview with Walrus Magazine that “maybe it’s not moral, maybe it’s bullshit… But it doesn’t mean it’s fraud”.
I think that defines fraud…not moral and bullshit, involving money.
Never been a prime rib fan myself, but I gotta say those are some good looking carrots. Potatoes look top notch too.
Minuet… because we have her talking in french like a sultry holgram I once knew.
Same here. Almost worked through the AP app, but only got the headline and fist photo.
Is this what they meant about a “bright future ahead of us”?
Minimal change in relation to the damage ulta-processed foods are causing our population but at least its a step in the right direction. As someone who suffers from a Crohns (likely induced by a combination of processed food and over stress/work) I’m very happy we’re finally taking a look at the food industry with more scepticism. I’ve done work inside food processing plants and it amazes me how they can justify manipulating our basic foods to ensure they are addictive and profitable at any cost.
Change does not happen overnight and hopefully this push to reevaluate our food practises will actually make it through the next election.
One day, I hope to be able to eat a food cooked by someone else without experiencing debilitating pain afterwards.
