Love to see it. More workers should be striking.
We’ve spent too long letting billionaires set the tone on unions.

They’re not complaining that a panda Express employee is making too much, they’re complaining that an aircraft mechanic is making too little.
If an aircraft mechanic, who needs long term training and a high level of skill, can walk off the job and get paid the same working fast food, then that’s a problem.
If a fast food worker doesn’t get paid a living wage, that’s also a problem, but a different one, and has nothing to do with their argument.
I like to pick 1901, so it looks like a 123 year old is playing The Witcher 3.
Dude, I’m ON YOUR SIDE. Don’t attack me because I’m trying to explain why we’re not burning down the capital building.
I WANT there to be big improvements, and yes, I just got back from a trip to Europe and actually sat down and talked to locals over there.
I personally have very good vacation time, comparable to Europe, that I use.
I personally have very good health care, probably better than many areas of Europe. I have used it. I understand the limitations of the various systems and for me, personally, it wouldn’t be an advantage to move to most other countries.
There are MANY MANY people in the US that are in my same situation. But I also believe that even one person that doesn’t have the same access that I do is one too many, and the US system isn’t built to support them.
Me moving to another country will NOT improve my situation, but it will hinder my ability to push for change for the other 300 million.
When did Rage Against the Machine get so political?
I mean, the machine is just a robot right? Like it’s a band about fighting giant angry robots?
One thing you have to realize is that a LOT of Americans HAVE very good health care and good vacation time. I do. I don’t have to worry about either of those things.
In fact, there’s a lot about the US healthcare system that is actually better than other countries. If I want (not need) an MRI, I can literally get one today.
Healthcare is more widely distributed in almost every other country, and I really really wish that we could get our shit together and separate healthcare from employment, I am voting, and donating, and I even went to a few protests about it.
I have vacation time. Many of my coworkers don’t even use up all their vacation time. They don’t want to, cause they have an unhealthy relationship with work, but it is available to them.
I live in a state that specifically passed laws (that I supported, and voted for) that specifically say we support gender affirming care and abortion rights, even for people traveling from states that don’t have those protections.
The US isn’t one place, every state has it’s own laws that protect people in different ways. Many of the cities also have their own protections as well.
I can move somewhere to get the exact same thing I have now, or I can stay here and keep pushing to help get EVERYONE else in this country the same quality of life that I have. And that’s what I’m going to do.
If the Republicans didn’t win in 1980 we wouldn’t have the shitty Reganomics of today, so yeah, it was the most important election (that humanity lost) in history to that point.
If the Republicans didn’t win in 2000, then it’s arguable that the twin towers wouldn’t have been destroyed, creating an excuse for decades of suffering across the globe, so yeah, it was the most important election in history (that we lost) to that point.
If the Republicans didn’t win in 2016, then we wouldn’t have had the worst supreme court in a century in power, wouldn’t have politicized COVID, and would have had much stronger health care. So yeah, it was the most important election in history (that we lost again!) to that point.
If the Republicans weren’t consistently horrible and on the verge of power, you’d have a point, but until they’re gone, they’re a constant threat to the country.
Whoa, really??? I guess I just assumed nothing changed in the last 5 years. I need to look into that.
GOP is trump now. If he drops out 60% of the Republican voters would just write in JesusTrump anyway.
Not the only use cases, but you’d need a different service if you need/want wildcard certs, certs that are manually installed and managed, or certs with a longer expiration.
Weird, I had no problem reading the article with a VPN and uBlock Origin turned on.
If you have the option, fill out the mail in ballot at home, but then bring it into an official ballot drop off location.
Tell that to Martha Stewart and Elon Musk.
SEC isn’t a savior, but they do enforce the law when it’s blatant.
If there’s a single copy of a comic book that sells for $1,000 that doesn’t mean you can sell 100 of them for that price.
If there’s a couple dozen shares of a stock selling for $15, that doesn’t mean there’s enough buyers to pay for a million of them at that price.
If trump dumps all his shares, the stock price will crash, and eventually there won’t be ANYONE to buy the stock and the price will be effectively $0.
Someone has to buy the stock that he sells. It doesn’t magically turn into money cause it has a listed value that day.
Sure, there can be some money laundering and foreign “investments” but the SEC really doesn’t like stock manipulation.
Does he actually know how to drive anything bigger than a golf cart?

You are not immune.
You do, and don’t fool yourself that you don’t.
You probably don’t click on ads, but they stick in your brain. You might see a half-dozen ads for Doritos, and then when you go to the store a week later, you’re slightly more likely to buy Doritos.
The vast majority of advertising is just getting a brand or an idea into the back of your head so when you’re looking for something in that product category, regardless of it’s a VPN, a web host, a snack food, a car, or whatever, you’re going to have a bias towards what you’ve seen in the past.
Most of my ad-blocking isn’t to stop myself from buying some herbal supplement/spray tanner combo, it’s to stop myself from being biased by the capitalist propaganda machine.
I am not immune from advertisements, and neither are you.

Don’t get too hasty.
