Dupe and old, are you a bot?

I’m not a freelance but I have thought about it, and a friend of mine has been doing this for years. He’s a software project manager but developers are still popular of course.
You will have some kind of administrative stuff to take care of. In France you can use the “portage salarial” which is a company that takes care of getting money from your clients, pays taxes, gives you a salary, and gives you some kind of healthcare and retirement program.
You will make much more money but you have to make sure your taxes are taken care of.
As for the clients themselves, you can have long missions (up to 3, 4, or 5 years) but most of the time it seems that my friend finds new jobs thanks to previous clients or coworkers. If you’re new, you can bootstrap your clients’ list with full-remote offers from LinkedIn or other job boards.

I hate AI as it is, but those robots can have precision up to a few nanometers, which humans will never be able to do. Those machines are not replacing anything here.

IMHO you’re right. Most people don’t know that “one arm robot” do exists and can be programmed to do a lot of stuff with great precision (some up to almost a micrometer/nanometer). They already have eyes (precise cameras on the side of the robot) and don’t need legs or torsos because they don’t need to move.

It’s the new ReiserFS! (sorry)

The epitome of “I’m so quirky lol (heart emoji and shit).”

Or one organic dildo trying to fight a mega-dragon-dildo 10 times its size.

It’s a clone of Digg which was a clone of forums, and it’s full of ads and bots. It’s the trashcan of the internet. I don’t know why people still lurk there.

To be fair, if I had the money, I would make my own porn NAS too. I would call it “the NASS” or something.

Thanks for the explanation. A great show indeed.

I don’t get it:
[Twin Peaks] premiered on ABC on April 8, 1990

Rolexes fail at being watches compared to other products that cost $5. A “bomb-proof piece of jewelry” is not a convincing argument. The whole point is showing that you have money.

A friend of mine has a few Rolex. Those watches are way less precise than a $5 quartz watch, it’s all about showing that you have money. The quality of the materials gives no advantage. They are objectively ugly too with the big round circles, and look like watches for kids who learn how read the time.
I’ve been told by rich guys that you must wear the strap a bit loose so that it the watch will rotate a bit around your wrist, which forces you to “put it back” while showing to others that you have a Rolex.
I don’t remember the specific name but it is a good start: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspicuous_consumption

I don’t think there is a more pathetic display of money. Rolex were on the top of my list with their expensive ugly watches.

Same answer as that other guy. I tried Pop OS for a few months, and while the automatic tiling is tempting, it’s really buggy even with the new version. Linux Mint is the easiest IMHO and looks a bit like Windows 2000. I love it so far.

I actually do think about the Welsh all the time.

This guy has the same level of empathy as Zuck.

It’s funny that this meme lasted for so long. In 40 years, I have never met anyone eating frogs or any restaurant selling those things.
Try to buy it to see who is holding it to scam people.
