Any chance that most of our politicians are replaced by magic 8-balls of similar efficacy but 0 cost?

Ah yes, any friends of her enemy (the Alberta public) is her enemy too.

That’s the best thing about representative and not direct democracy: you can do the right thing, e.g. pass correct legislation or policies even if it’s not popular. Instead they do the opposite. Maybe some day the majority of Canadians will come to grips with how our democracy is mostly just a thinly veiled oligopoly. As a BCer it’s probably further away for us than the other provinces.

There’s only 408 of em? No? These are rookie numbers then.

Some cops don’t seem to have gotten the message yet that the system needs to be blunt and dehumanizing. It’ll gladly cannabalize its own to get that message across.
And also, ACAB.

Any chance that > $12.4B is directly taxed or siphoned from the big grocery chains?

Of all the lowlifes in the world, being a Zionist might very well be rock bottom.

Another thing to add to Israel’s rap sheet

I think you’re mistaking “investigation” with “prosecution” or something else. The cops can investigate literally anyone. You can hire a PI to investigate anyone.
There are limits however on what investigative actions can be legally taken by cops based on the evidence they have. Even with no evidence, they can still do things like interview people who know the POI, even follow them around in public. They can’t, for example, detain them and beat a confession out of them, or search their house willy nilly.

No shade to Eby but it doesn’t take a lawyer to understand that water is wet.
Since he’s a lawyer though, he should know there’s more than enough to convict them of attempted treason, conspiracy, or any other inchoate crime thereof. Unfortunately it looks like neither provincial nor federal prosecutors will go after them for it.

Haven’t seen a half-decent shower thought in a long time. Time to unsubscribe.

Huh, that’s certainly a take. Personally, I have never ever enjoyed conversing with a grifter, fraudster, or liar. The aftertaste is always disgust and disdain.
For the people that want an earful of BS, lucky for them AI is now available at their fingertips 24/7.

TIL NORAD is actually a sales contract.

Well put. Judge nations by their actions.

As a Canadian I’m still naively holding out for some kind of resolution that improves conditions for ordinary people on both sides of the border. Or at least stabilizes them.
One of the most sombering lessons is how innocence is the first casualty. In the worst case scenario, no one can keep their hands clean by this conflict’s end.
Ah yes, always the people you’d most expect.
