It’s very obvious in this thread that you have hands on experience and many others do not. 20+ years professional SWE here, a majority of it applied ML/big data/etc. LLMs are really bad at many things but specifically using them as a natural language layer over NPC interactions would be relatively easy and seems like a great use case honestly.

It’s been working its way through California courts since the 2015 WHO guidelines said processed meats are carcinogenic. Under Prop 65 that should have triggered immediately labeling processed meats as “Known to the State of California to cause cancer” (like we already have on any charred food, parking garages, etc) but because reasons a decade later I think it is still being adjudicated.

West coast would be fine. California grows over 50% of the fruits and nuts, and 30% of the vegetables for the entire US. The “farm belt” states mostly grow cash crops for animal feed, energy production, and overseas export.

That’s not quite right, the language has defined Int#days and 10 is actually Int(10). 10.days calls the instance method days on an instance of an Int (it has been years since I’ve used ruby so not sure if the stdlib class is actually Int)

Do you live here? There are major population centers on both sides of the bridge (Richmond on one end, San Rafael on the other) and the Ohlone trail + Richmond Greenway means you can ride a bike from Emeryville all the way to the bridge quite easily.

That said it’s a beast of a commute to ride. I’d say 90% of the bikers I see on there aren’t using it to commute but are using it for exercise/pleasure cycling. I do see about 10% of bikers on ebikes that could make this a viable commute.

Except way off peak it’s faster to take bart than drive (north berkeley to downtown SF). I usually take a trans bay bus when going to office (closer to my house) which is $6 one way. BART is like $8. (So round trip under $20). Vs driving is $8 for the bay bridge and then somewhere between $20 and $60 to park for the day (no free parking at my office).
