I agree. I try to save them when I can, I’ve gathered quite a few. Luckily, extracting the lithium cells is quite easy. I even have a model with a screen on it (the e waste is crazy) that I’m planning to hopefully salvage the screen off of.
I think there’s also something to be said for the 80/20 effect: 80% of the content you see is created by 20% of the user base. Not sure if this is actually true, citation definitionally needed, but I suspect a lot of Internet communities work this way, with a loud (and usually mentally unstable) chronically online minority

It doesn’t seem like a no brainer to me… In order to generate the spam AI comments in the first place, they have to use expensive compute to run the LLM.
I had the same question. Here’s the answer:
The Archive Team Warrior is a virtual archiving appliance. You can run it to help with the Archive Team archiving efforts. It will download sites and upload them to our archive—and it’s really easy to do!
The warrior is a container running inside a virtual machine, so there is almost no security risk to your computer. (“Almost”, because in practice nothing is 100% secure.) The warrior will only use your bandwidth and some of your disk space, as well as some of your CPU and memory. It will get tasks from and report progress to the Tracker.
That’s awesome dude, nice work! I wish I were this good in blender. I have to use CAD to make my models and then export them to the scene in blender. It’s an annoying workflow but I’m just not good at “traditional” modeling in blender
Did you model that whole thing just to show us what you meant?
This is one of those topics where everyone involved has strong convictions
100% agree with your sentiment. I hope the production model looks JUST like this, it’s beautiful as is.
They’re not actually going to change anything you can notice. I guess they’re just changing the back end for… Reasons
This insanely complicated system that doesn’t really have parallels in other messaging systems. Tons of different systems, dedicated hardware, etc. These systems are specifically designed for military use and do not have direct parallels with civilian messaging apps
Source: almost enlisted to do communications (out of desperation, I hate the military)
Yeah for sure, they do make generator sockets, which are a fully shrouded male plug meant to be used with a generator transfer switch.
But still, people do hook up generators this way sometimes. Regardless def not many good uses for a suicide cable
Your observation is wise
Artifact yeah
Okay but can we agree very very few uses besides generator hookup
That’s wild bro, itanium was such a weird architecture
Do you actually have an old itanium server that you’re using for home labbing? Lmao
A lot of work but: have her VPN into your residential network and send her traffic through your ISP for a while.
