We have the expression (well in English for those unaware of it) of a stopped clock being right twice a day for a reason. Guess that expression is probably going to the wayside these days though. Even the worst people make an agreeable point now and then afterall.

The oft-forgotten full phrase is: “a broken clock is right twice a day, but you still wouldn’t use it to tell time.”
Similarly, often in reference to corrupt cops or politicians: “one bad apple spoils the whole bunch.”
Aren’t most of those “full phrases” made up inventions from Tumblr?
Well, those two in particular were used heavily by my elders growing up in the 70s, so it predates the web by a little bit.

In Germany we say, that even a blind chicken will find a grain sometimes.
I refuse to let that expression go to the wayside.
