I mean still unusual for most areas of US. Only time I’ve seen the police carbine irl is when a veteran in my college dorm had a mental breakdown and holed up in his room with a gun. He ended up getting arrested peacefully enough but idk about follow up. This was before mass school shootings were so prevalent. His roommate was also a schizophrenic who stopped taking his meds and also dropped out. Shame for both because they were decent acquaintances otherwise.
The amount of delusion required to think that going on holiday in Crimea at this time is a good idea is just beyond me
Just obliviousness, I had a friend walk past a cup with a shouldered carbine (into the line of fire) once cause he was just so distracted.
Granted, this was in the US so seeing a cop with a shouldered carbine next to the parking lot isn’t suuuper unusual.

That was in a posh area of Silicon Valley, they probably saw a homeless person or something.
