  • Not everything is AI.

Its clearly an architectural rendering using stock assets. Look at the beds, the sheets are near the foot of the bed, but at a slight angle. But every bed has the sheets at the exact same distinctive angle despite different textures. Every desk and bedside table are also identical.

That’s not how AI image generators do it, as they often struggle to draw the same thing the same way twice even when asked.

No, this is a human designed and rendered space by someone with little experience.

  • Most people are citizens of where they also live and give birth so this distinction doesn’t come up in most cases. But for children born to immigrants or travelers it does.

Citizenship can either be assigned by where you were born, or who you were born to.

Birthright citizenship, as we use the term in the US, is mostly a new world invention. In nearly all countries in the americas, any children born here are citizens without exception. No matter the parents, no matter the circumstances.

In the old world, most countries require a parent to be a citizen in order for the child to also be a citizen.

Generally if an american couple gives birth in Europe, the child will just be american, despite where they were born. If a European couple gives birth in any of the americas, their child will be a citizen of the americas, despite anything else

  • Fees are an effective way to shape behavior. Charge for the things you want to discourage, don’t charge for the things you want to encourage. Charging use based fares discourages people from using the transit.

Because transit and bicycles are the most cost effective and energy efficient ways to move people, those things should be paid for with fees on cars. Toll the roads, and charge congestion pricing. Then use that money to pay for the free to ride transit.

The neoliberal idea that things need to pay for themselves is a cancer. My state really takes the climate seriously, or so they claim. But they actively discourage drivers from reducing their carbon output by using transit, or driving a hybrid or EV, by charging extra for those things specifically.

Make the busses and trains free and the cars costly.
